We believe God's Word is living, powerful, and meant to shape every part of our lives. At Pinecrest, we are committed to teaching the Bible with clarity so that every person can understand and apply its truth.
Whether you're just beginning to explore Scripture or have walked with Jesus for decades, there's always more to discover. We grow deeper in faith as we learn together.

Pinecrest exists to help the body of Christ, Love the Lord, Learn the Bible, and Live the Gospel, in order to build God’s Kingdom, impact our community, and change the world.
Our mission drives and informs how Pinecrest fulfills the Great Commission by helping you
Love the Lord, Learn the Bible, and Live the Gospel.
Our Vision charts where we are going in the process…not what we are now, but what we are striving to become as a church.
A church that is using the various spiritual gifts given by God to serve the people in our church, our community, and around the world.
“A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other."
(1 Corinthians 12:7)
A church that is sharing the Gospel and making new disciples while
sharing the love, grace, and truth of Jesus locally and globally.
"Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone."
(Mark 16:15)
A church that is sending missionaries, volunteers, and resources into the nations in order to fulfill the Great Commission.
That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” (Romans 10:15)
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Father is not derived from anyone, neither begotten nor proceeding. The Son is eternally begotten by the Father. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.
We believe God is eternal, the creator of all things, all powerful, all knowing, everywhere present, never changing His nature, and always loving. He is active in His creation now, controlling and sustaining it.

We believe in God the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. The Father was neither made, nor created, nor begotten from anyone.
Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 8:6
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made certain by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father, where He serves as our High Priest, fulfilling the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ and indwelling and sealing them until the day of redemption.
We believe He is the divine teacher who guides believers into all truth and that it is the privilege and duty of all believers to be controlled by the Spirit. We also believe that He gives spiritual gifts to each believer for the building up of His church.

We believe that God created humans, male and female, in His image and likeness with immortal souls, endowed with a rational nature and free will. Humanity is unique among all of God’s creation and is endowed with intrinsic worth and dignity.
God created humanity to fill the earth, tend to it, and rule over it while bringing glory to His name through lives lived in relationship and faithful service to Him.

We believe that through Adam’s willful disobedience to God, sin entered the world and its guilt was imputed to all humanity. A corrupt nature was transmitted to the entire human race.
Jesus Christ, being fully God and fully man, is the only human to have lived a sinless life. All other people are alienated from God, have lost their innocence; incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death; became inherently corrupt and utterly incapable of choosing or doing that which is acceptable to God apart from divine grace and salvation through Jesus Christ.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to humanity by grace and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins.
Scripture References: Ephesians 2:8–10; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18–19
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to everlasting punishment.
Scripture References: Matthew 25:46; John 5:28–29; John 11:25–26; Revelation 20:15
We believe that sanctification constitutes a vital part of the believer’s relationship with the Lord as well as His earthly life and service, that God’s part of sanctification is the act of God whereby He sets apart the believer for the glory of God, and the believer’s part of sanctification involves holiness of life and conduct.
The believer maintains holiness of conduct as He allows the Holy Spirit to carry on His ministry within their life. This concerns itself with such practical aspects as confessing sins, making restitution where possible, reading and studying the Word of God, fellowshipping with other believers, praying regularly and being a witness in the world.
We do not believe that sanctification and sinless perfection are the same. However, to the degree to which a believer relies on the Holy Spirit, they have power over sin.

We believe that all the redeemed are kept by God’s power and are secure in Christ forever. Believers can rejoice in the assurance of their salvation, though Christian liberty must never be used as a license to sin.
Scripture References: John 6:37–40; John 10:27–30; Romans 8:1–2; Romans 8:38–39; 1 Corinthians 1:4–8; 1 Peter 1:5; 1 John 2:19; Romans 13:13–14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11–15
We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are God’s complete and written revelation to humanity, given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and thus constituting the Word of God.
Every word of Scripture is equally inspired, infallible, and inerrant in its original languages, meaning, and context, free from all falsehood and entirely trustworthy in all that it teaches. As the only authoritative rule for faith and life, the Bible is true and reliable in all matters it addresses.
We uphold sola scriptura, the doctrine that Scripture alone is the supreme authority for all matters of faith and conduct. This means that Scripture stands above all human wisdom, tradition, and ecclesiastical authority, which, though valuable, must submit to the final authority of God’s Word.

We believe that the Church is one unified spiritual body made up of all born-again believers. It was established and led by Christ to glorify God and worship Him by making disciples in every nation, tribe, people and language.
The Church and all its members are called to make disciples and help one another grow in love and faith through the accurate teaching of the Word, worship, prayer, observance of the ordinances, loving fellowship in sacrificial community, the exercise of our gifts and talents, and by joyfully advancing and communicating the gospel in our local communities and to the entire world, at any cost required of us. Scripture confirms the establishment and continuity of local churches within the one unified global Church to carry out this work collectively.

We believe that the church is called to observe two primary ordinances instituted
by Jesus Christ: Baptism and the Lord's Supper (communion). We believe our Lord left the
ordinances of water baptism and communion to be observed by the church, but they are not to
be regarded as a means of salvation.
We affirm that baptism is an outward sign of an inward transformation and an essential step in the believer's journey of faith. We believe that baptism
should be conducted by immersion (when possible), symbolizing the death, burial, and
resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is to be administered to those who have made a personal
commitment to follow Christ, serving as a public declaration of their faith.
We hold that the Lord’s Supper is a sacred act of
remembrance, instituted by Christ on the night He was betrayed. It is a means of grace through
which we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, affirm our faith in His presence, and strengthen our unity
as a body of believers. We practice open communion, inviting all who are in right relationship with Christ to partake, while emphasizing the importance of self-examination and repentance
Scripture References: Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:35–38; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–28
We believe in the imminent and glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This event is central to our faith and will fulfill God’s ultimate plan for creation. We affirm that Jesus promised to return to gather His people. This promise brings hope and anticipation to believers as we await His coming.
We believe that Christ will return in power and glory, visibly and audibly, to judge the living and the dead. His return will usher in the definitive fulfillment of God’s kingdom on earth.
We hold that Christ’s return will bring about the final victory over sin and death, establishing justice and righteousness. Believers will be rewarded with eternal life, while those who have rejected Him will face judgment. In light of His promised return, we are called to live in a state of readiness, faithfulness, and evangelism, sharing the Gospel of Christ with others and encouraging one another to remain steadfast in our faith. We look forward to the day when Christ will return and make all things new, bringing to completion the hope that sustains us.

We believe in the existence of Satan, a being who opposes God and His purposes. We
affirm that Satan was created by God as an angelic being but chose to rebel against Him, leading
to his fall from grace. He is not a mere symbol of evil but a real entity who actively works against God’s creation. We recognize that Satan seeks to deceive, tempt, and destroy. He is the accuser of believers, working to lead people away from the truth of God’s Word. His influence is evident in the world, manifesting as temptation, strife, and rebellion against God.
We believe that through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Satan was decisively defeated. Christ's victory over sin and death secures freedom for believers from the power of sin and the grip of the enemy. We affirm that Satan's ultimate destiny is judgment and eternal separation from
God. The Scriptures assure us that he will be cast into the lake of fire at the end of the age, confirming God’s sovereign authority over all creation. In light of this truth, we are called to resist Satan, stand firm in our faith and rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome temptation. We commit to prayer, the study of Scripture, and community with fellow believers as we confront the reality of spiritual warfare.

We believe that God has always intended marriage to be a union between one
biological man and one biological woman in a faithful and monogamous sexual relationship for
life.
We further believe that any sexual intimacy outside of marriage (including adultery, living together, one-night stands, homosexual relations, bisexual conduct, incest, prostitution, use of pornography, etc.) is sinful, wrong, immoral and goes against God’s divine plan for us. Because God loves everyone so much, He offers redemption and restoration to all who humbly confess and forsake such sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. No one should serve in ministry in Jesus’ church if they are practicing any of the inappropriate sexual behaviors listed above.

We believe that God is the author of life and that all life, even life conceived in the womb, is precious to Him. Jesus Himself spoke of how precious children are, and we believe all unborn children are precious in His sight.
