Lead Pastor
David Baumgartner
After 15 years in the corporate world, Pastor David joined the Pinecrest staff as a the Spiritual Formation Pastor in 2009. He stepped into the Lead Pastor role in 2011. He and his wife Anita have 4 grown children: Jake & Lindsay Gard, Logan, and Kyle, and one grandson, Charlie.
David loves the Denver Broncos, woodworking and mission work in Germany. He has a passion to make God’s Word accessible and applicable to daily life.
Business & Finance Director
Deb Gardner
Deb joined the Pinecrest team in 2009 as the Office Manager and since then has faithfully grown into her current role as Business and Finance Director. Deb loves traveling to Haiti to do mission work with the orphanage there and she has 2 grown children: Aaron and Amanda and 4 grandchildren: Wyatt, Ryder, Jordan, and Maddie. She lives in Castle Rock and loves quilting, baking, and skiing.
Associate Pastor of Worship & Youth
Jake Gard
Jake joined the Pinecrest team in 2019 after serving as a Youth Team Intern. Jake grew up in our Youth program and has had a calling to ministry from a young age. Jake serves as our Worship Pastor, leading a team of gifted musicians, singers, and audio & video technicians. He also serves as our Youth pastor. Jake has a Bachelor of Science: Religion: Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University. He and his wife Lindsay enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping. Jake loves chess, western movies and world history. He and his wife Lindsay have one son: Charlie.
Food Pantry Director
Merri Ausfahl
Merri has been passionately leading our Food Pantry team since 2014 and loves making a practical difference for families in our community. She has 6 grown children and one grandchild. She and her husband Aaron live in Parker and she loves to hike, ride her bicycle, and generally just be outside as often as possible.
Growing in Him Counseling Director
Tanya McCrea
Tanya is the founder and principle counselor of Growing in Him Counseling Center, which is supported by Pinecrest. Tanya provides counseling services to the church and community for children, teens, adults, singles, and married couples. She has a heart to see people grow spiritually and emotionally and to find healing and victory over the mental and spiritual challenges people face every day.
