Instead of just giving you a long diatribe of things we believe (you can download that below),
we’d like to share with you some of the key values that give us direction as a church family.
We call these our Ministry Plumb Lines.
They gives us direction and clarity when making decisions and doing what God has called us to do…
Connecting People with God and Each Other
Here are our 4 Key Ministry Plumb Lines…
We are a church of LifeGroups,
not a church with LifeGroups.
Simply put, we believe that God created us to life in community with other
believers and that’s how we learn and grow closer to Him and one another.
Jesus was in a LifeGroup, the early church was built on the LifeGroup model,
and we were created in God’s image to need community.
(Genesis 1:26-327; Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2:42-47)
Regardless of age, we’re all part of the Church Family.
Children and Youth are not the church of tomorrow, they are an important part of the the church today. We simply don’t provide babysitting service, we engage with parents in the spiritual development of their kids and include people of all ages in the life of the church.
(Deut. 11:18-21; Matthew 18:2-6; 1 Timothy 4:11-16)
Our mission field is everywhere!
We are called by God to make disciples close to home, in our region, and around the world. We want everyone to experience the life-changing impact of sharing the love of Jesus Christ. We do ministry right here in our own backyard and partner with organizations doing ministry in places such as Haiti, Germany, and Tanzania.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
No Lone Rangers in Ministry!
We are called to do ministry together and for one another. Pastors are not called to do all the work in the church, but to equip God’s people to do the work He has called them to do. We are all gifted by God to serve one another and we have a responsibility to love and serve the people around us.
(Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Peter 4:10; Mark 6:6-11)
