LifeGroup Curriculum

LifeGroup Logo

Finding the next study for your LifeGroup can be a daunting task: What should we do? What's good? What's everyone else doing? These are all good questions that deserve a good answer. Below are some of the resources available from the Pinecrest collection. Some of these resources actually belong to the church, some are created by the church, and some are resources we highly recommend. The curriculum options fall into three main categories:

  1. Sermon-Based Curriculum
  2. The Characteristics of a Growing Disciple Series
  3. Third Party Resources

If you have any questions, need more information, or aren't finding what you're looking for please call or email David Baumgartner at .

Third Party Resources

There many curriculum options available from third party resources. Below are a few options that the church owns or recommends...

DVD Curriculum:

The church owns these resources and you are welcome to use them. The links are provided for you to get a better idea of what each video series is about. Contact David Baumgartner if you want to borrow one of these resources. And check back often as we are adding to our collection often:

  1. Crazy Love by Francis Chan
Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts — it's falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same.

  2. Epic by John Eldredge
There is a larger story and you have a role to play.  It's a Story better than any fairy tale! Our human hearts are made for great drama, and the Gospel, with all its danger and adventure, truly is Epic.

  3. Intimate Marriage by Allender and Longman
Dan B. Allender and Tremper Longman III have together designed this curriculum kit to help married couples--one-to-one or in small groups--to build healthy and happy marriages. The kit includes everything you need to lead a course in your small group or church.

  4. Nooma Video Series by Rob Bell (partial set)
NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from a perspective of Jesus. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.

  5. Your Time Starved Marriage by Parrott and Parrott
Feeling overscheduled and underconnected? Les and Leslie Parrott help couples make every moment together count. Practical, accessible, and easy to use, Your Time-Starved Marriage shows you how to create a more vibrant and intimate relationship by identifying and maximizing the combination of your two unique time styles.

  6. The Prodigal God by Timothy Keller
The Prodigal God is a revelation of the very heart of the gospel: God's radical love for sinners of every kind. The Prodigal God will challenge the devout and the skeptic alike to see Christianity in a whole new way.
