Worship Services This Sunday

8:45 and 10:30

America is in love with courtroom dramas.  From the early days of Matlock to Law and Order we just seem to love watching what might happen when other people get in front of a judge.  This week Paul stands on trial before the Roman Governor Felix.  The Jewish lawyer brings false charges and Paul offers his own rebuttal.  Join us this week for one of our two services as Pastor David unpacks the drama in the courtroom and we learn a few things about God’s timing and our role in His plan.

Meet Your Neighbor Week

It’s Meet Your Neighbor Week!  What does that mean?  It’s simple…bake a batch of cookies (or buy them) and take them to the people who live next to and across from you.  Even better, invite them to an upcoming event at church such as Movie Night.  We even have some cards available to help “break the ice”!

Prayer Service

We will be holding another prayer service during both services on Sunday, March 4th.  We’ll be praying for any and all special needs including healing, finances, relationships and salvation.

Family Movie Night

Don’t miss the next Family Movie Night, Friday March 9th, doors open at 6:00pm.  This month we’ll be watching Courageous.  Invite your friends and bring your family!  Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Cambodia Mission Meeting

Join us on Sunday, March 11th right after 2nd service as the Cambodia Mission team shares pictures and stories from their trip to Cambodia.  Bring your own lunch and come prepared to hear how God is working around the world!

Meal Train

If cooking is your passion or just a passing fancy we need you!  There is a sign up in the lobby for the Meal Train.  We are asking for a quarterly commitment to help out as needed.  Contact Cindy Nelson or Suzanne Davidson for more information.

Prayer Teams

One of our vision tasks for this year is integrating prayer into the life of the church.  Prayer is critical and you can do it even if you don’t like being in the “lime light”.  Sign up this Sunday in the lobby to be part of our new Prayer Teams, praying before Sunday services and for prayer requests during the week!

Parker Task Force

Don’t forget that we have a food collection basket in the lobby for our local food bank!  This is a great way for your family to help support those in need right here in our area!

Get Connected…

Some churches use the term Small Groups or Cell Groups for what we call LifeGroups. No matter what we call it, the point is that we get involved in a group of believers and do life with them. The church is not what happens on Sunday morning (that’s just one opportunity for corporate worship). The church is what happens every single day…groups of God’s people living in community and learning to walk with God in their every day (hence the name: LifeGroup).

LifeGroups give you the opportunity to connect—deeply and intimately—with other believers. They’re a safe place to hold one another accountable, be authentic, and learn how to love Jesus! Life is not always easy. Sometimes it’s downright hard. LifeGroups provide a safe place for healing and support—it’s the church in action.

LifeGroups are absolutely central to everything we do here at Pinecrest. We aren’t just a church with LifeGroups, we are a church of LifeGroups. It’s the place to see Jesus change us, to get to know other people, care for one another, and serve our community.

At Pinecrest, we want you to find a group of people to share your life and spiritual journey with…we want you to find a group where you feel like you belong and fit in.  Sometimes you’ll find that right away; sometimes it takes a little while to find that perfect fit. We encourage you to try at least 2 or 3 LifeGroups before you settle in. And don’t worry, nobody’s feelings will get hurt. It might seem a little weird to you, but our leaders and groups want you to find the right place too.

Current Sermon Series

We are currently walking through the entire book of Acts in our current Sermon Series: “ACTing Like the Church”. This sermon series will run from May 2011 until April 2012. Join us for one of our two services as we learn together how God used a small group of men and women to change the learn and how He wants us to follow that example!
