At Pinecrest, our vision is pretty simple: We want to follow Christ and bring others on that same journey with us! We fulfill this mission as a church and as individuals through three key values we try and live out every day…
Loving God
Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” We believe that Loving God is a “whole life” attitude followed up with practical actions that demonstrate our love. We want every person to be in such relationship with God, where the activities of “being a Christian” come out of a natural desire to show our love for what God has done for us, rather than a checklist of “things Christians do. “Being in love with someone requires you: Spend time with them; talk to them; being involved in what they find important; being a consistent part of their life. We want to have this natural relationship with God as well. We want to be regular in several things; gathering together to worship Him; spending time together learning from the Bible; serving our fellowship and it’s ministries; and investing in the vision God has given our church for Parker, CO.We think this “Great Commandment” that Jesus gave is our first and greatest responsibility….he said so. We are a church that’s “in love” with our God.
Loving Others
Loving Others was something Jesus did well. He was the model of compassion to those that were in need, even when they were not “believers”. We think this is the model He wants us to follow today. We try to live out Grace and Mercy to those around us, whether here at our fellowship or out in our community. We are the models of Jesus’ love for others.Jesus told us to remember 2 things: Love God and Love Others. We believe there can be no better vision for our church than the very words of Christ. Though not always perfect, we try our best to live out this love for everyone.
Serving All
We grow in our faith when we live it out in practical ways. Serving our church, our community and our world is key in our individual spiritual development. The bible is clear that we are to have an attitude of mercy and serving others in our spiritual life. At Pinecrest, we try to help foster that type of Christianity thru our Beautiful Day ministries, serving projects and LifeGroups. When we serve others, our heart grows and Jesus shows up!
